1. Scope
This Cookies Policy explains how Amio s.r.o. (“Amio”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on amio.io and other Amio-controlled web pages where this policy is linked.
This policy covers Amio’s own website and direct interactions with visitors, including interactive features such as an Amio demo experience. It does not govern cookies or similar technologies used on a customer’s own website merely because that customer uses Amio’s services there. The customer is responsible for the cookie and privacy choices applicable to its own website and end users.
Where cookies or similar technologies involve processing of personal data, our Privacy Policy explains the relevant purposes, legal bases, recipients, international transfers, retention and privacy rights: https://www.amio.io/privacy-policy.
2. What we mean by cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on or read from your device when you use a website. We may also use functionally similar technologies, such as local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, pixels, tags or comparable browser technologies.
Some technologies are placed by Amio. Others may be provided through third-party services used on our website.
3. Categories we use
Necessary
Necessary technologies are used to provide website functionality or a feature that you request, maintain security, remember your cookie choices, prevent misuse, or preserve technical session state where this is required for the requested functionality.
These technologies may operate without optional-cookie consent where the applicable law allows them as strictly necessary. We do not treat analytics or marketing technology as Necessary merely because a provider uses it operationally.
An interactive feature that you deliberately use, such as the Amio demo chat or a booking flow, may use limited technical session storage or network communication necessary to provide that feature. The Amio demo is designed to use session-based technical state where persistence is needed for the active demo session. Optional analytics, attribution, advertising or marketing connected with that feature remains subject to the relevant consent choice.
Statistics
Statistics technologies help us understand how visitors use our website and how the website performs. They may involve pseudonymous identifiers, device or browser information, page and interaction data, IP-derived information or similar measurement data. “Statistics” does not necessarily mean that the underlying data is anonymous.
We use Statistics technologies only after the required consent has been given.
Marketing
Marketing technologies may be used to measure advertising performance, conversions or campaign attribution, understand the effectiveness of marketing activity, or support advertising and lead-generation activity. They may use identifiers or information about visits and interactions across sessions or services. This category may be empty when Amio is not running advertising or similar marketing technology; the current technologies in use are shown in Cookie Settings.
We use Marketing technologies only after the required consent has been given.
4. How consent works
When consent is required, optional Statistics and Marketing technologies are disabled by default until you make a choice.
Our cookie controls allow you to:
- deny optional technologies;
- allow selected categories; or
- allow all optional categories.
Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through our cookie controls where they are required to provide the website or a feature you have requested.
You can change or withdraw your optional-cookie consent at any time through Cookie Settings on our website. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. After withdrawal, we stop future use of the affected optional technologies and remove Amio-controlled optional browser storage where reasonably feasible.
Your choice may be stored in a Necessary consent cookie so that we can remember it. If you clear browser storage, use another browser or device, or the consent record expires, we may ask you to choose again.
Browser settings can provide additional controls, but they are not the primary method for managing consent on Amio’s website and may not control every technology described in this policy.
5. Current technology inventory
We intentionally do not maintain a second static cookie table in this policy.
The current detailed inventory is available in the Details section of Cookie Settings on our website. It identifies, as applicable:
- the technology or storage name;
- provider;
- purpose;
- category;
- type of storage or technology; and
- maximum or typical device-storage duration.
This inventory is intended to be the operational source of truth for the technologies configured on the website. We may update individual technologies or providers over time without rewriting this general policy where the purposes and categories remain materially the same. If a change requires a new consent or additional notice under applicable law, we will obtain or provide it before the affected processing begins.
A duration shown in Cookie Settings generally describes how long information may remain on the browser or device. It does not necessarily describe how long a provider retains personal data on its servers. Server-side retention and processing of personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy, our provider arrangements and applicable law.
6. Third-party services
Some website functions, analytics, advertising, scheduling or other features may be provided using third-party services.
Where a third-party technology is optional, it must follow the applicable Statistics or Marketing consent choice before it is used in a way that requires consent. Where a third-party service is loaded only after you deliberately request a specific feature, limited technical processing strictly necessary to provide that feature may occur without optional-cookie consent where permitted by law.
Current providers and the relevant technologies are shown in Cookie Settings rather than being hard-coded into this policy. Information about recipients of personal data and international transfers is provided in our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in our website, technology, providers or applicable law.
We may update the detailed Cookie Settings inventory more frequently than this policy because individual technologies, names or storage durations can change without changing the overall purposes described here.
Where applicable law requires a new consent or other action before a materially different use can begin, updating this policy or the inventory alone does not replace that requirement.
8. Contact
